Pet’s Story

Our sweet Java was everything to our family. She developed soft skin sarcoma in December and needed a leg amputation in March. She was such a warrior and we loved her even more as a tripod. Unfortunately, in June another growth appeared which meant another surgery. Again, Java continued to be our little warrior overcoming yet another obstacle and still determined to chase bunnies. At her recheck in July we were told the cancer was spreading and there was nothing more we could do. We made this summer the best for her. So many walks, hamburgers, pup cups and millions of hugs and kisses as we knew our time with her was closing in. Her wagging tail suddenly stopped wagging and her ability to walk became harder and harder. We got her a dog stroller to let her enjoy farmer market foods and see people which she always loved to do. One morning she looked at me and I knew it was her telling me it was time to let her go. I would only be selfish to keep her because I knew how my heart would break letting her go. She taught our family to love unconditionally, listen on good days and bad and never pass up a tasty treat. She touched the lives of everyone she met and was truly the best. She never was and will never be just a dog for our family, but a family member that we miss so greatly. Until we meet again my sweet Java, we will love you every second of every day. “You were always our favorite hello and our hardest goodbye.” Love Always, Mommy, Daddy, Luca, Antonio and Nash
