In 2018 Dr McCaffrey founded Senior Pet Vet. Her vision is to provide compassionate palliative and end-of-life care to patients in the comfort of their own home. She views her work as a vocational calling, and has been honored to help many families journey through end of life care with their beloved pets.

Dr McCaffrey’s other great calling in life is as a wife and mother. Her husband TJ and three children: Emily, Claire and James are the joys of her life. Her fur babies include a yellow lab named Violet and a tuxedo cat named JoJo.

Her home is also shared with Dash and Violet, a pair of mischievous cats whose favorite activity is stealing food.

It has been an incredible honor to offer a way for families to say goodbye to their cherished pets at home in the most peaceful, stress-free, and loving way we can. She believes it is a privilege to help make a difficult time a little bit easier for both the animals and their families.
