When our previous dog passed away, a friend suggested that we go and see a dog named Mr. Happy in the Rbari Shelter in Oakland. Despite a very difficult start in life, this dog had the sweetest disposition and was extremely affectionate and loving to everyone he met. I think it would be very safe to say that Happy had us at hello. His name Happy was perfect because he brought joy to everyone he touched. From the day we brought him home, Happy showered us with unconditional love and added so much happiness to our lives. He had a gentle loving spirit for everyone he met. Everyone loved Happy whether they were family, friends, neighbors and especially the youngest of children. Happy was a big part of the family and went everywhere with us. Happy has been the greatest gift in our lives and we were very thankful to have him for 13 years. In the last several months when his health was failing,
Happy remained strong and endured pain and struggle in everything he tried to do with us. We miss him terribly but try to find strength in knowing that he is finally free of his struggles. We pray that there is a Raibow Bridge and that he is running and playing like he did when he was young and that we will be together again some day
