Is it time? Saying goodbye is the hardest part of loving a pet—and you don’t have to face it alone.
At Senior Pet Vet, we’ve said goodbye to our own beloved companions. We understand the weight of this decision, and we’re here to help guide you with clarity, compassion, and honesty.
Questions to Consider:
  • Are the bad days beginning to outnumber the good?
  • Is your pet’s pain manageable?
  • Do they still enjoy the things they once loved—walks, food, cuddles?
Aftercare With Compassion
We partner with Abbey Glen, a trusted local pet crematory that shares our values of dignity, respect, and love. Their team ensures your companion’s aftercare is handled with the gentleness they deserve.
If you choose private cremation, your pet’s ashes will be returned to you within 10 to 14 days. We handle all transportation and arrangements with great care and respect. You can rest easy knowing your pet is in caring hands, every step of the way.

A Gentle Process

Every pet’s passing should be peaceful, dignified, and full of love.

We believe the most comforting setting for goodbye is often at home, surrounded by family. When we arrive, we’ll take time to explain the process and answer any questions you may have.

Your pet will first receive a gentle sedative under the skin to help them relax and ease any discomfort. During this time, you are encouraged to hold, pet, and comfort your companion as they rest.

After about 5–10 minutes, once your pet is fully relaxed, a final injection—an overdose of anesthetic—will be administered. This ensures a peaceful and painless passing.
